Yom Taruw’ah/Feast of Trumpets
Tonight, commencing at sundown, will be the Feast of Trumpets.
Unfortunately, due to their stint in Babylon, the people of Israel changed it to “Rosh Hashanah”, or “New Years day”, therefore ignoring Yahuweh’s instructions not to adopt the customs of the polytheistic nations surrounding Israel.
However, for those no longer under the thrall of Babylon the Great, we celebrate the feast tonight, looking to the future when it’s to be fulfilled.
Sometime between now and the start of the seven year reign of the Anti-Messiah, Yom Taruw’ah/Feast of Trumpets will announce the fact that Yahuweh’s Spirit is about to leave the planet, and taking with Her all those within whom She has made her home.
One prays that tonight would be that night. However, I think it’s just a bit too soon for that.
There is some belief that the disembarking of the Spirit will happen when Yom Taruw’ah falls on a Sabbath day, the earliest of which would be in 2019 – 7 years from now.
We can only hope 🙂
Leviticus 23:23-25
And Yahuweh spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with a blast of trumpets, a set-apart assembly. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall present an offering to Yahuweh.’ ”
Numbers 29:1-2
‘On the first day of the seventh month, you are to hold a set-apart assembly. You must not do your ordinary work, for it is a day of blowing trumpets for you. You must offer a burnt offering as a sweet aroma to Yahuweh: one young bull, one ram, and seven lambs one year old without blemish.’
