The Letter To Philemon From Paul, the Delegate
Greetings
1 - 3
Paul*, a captive prisoner and bound-one of Messiah* Yahushua*, and fellow brother and believer, Timotheos*: To Philemon*, the beloved and esteemed, dearly loved and highly regarded one and our companion, fellow worker and helper; and also to Apphia*, our sister, and Archippus* our fellow soldier and comrade for the cause of the Supreme One, and to the called out Ekklesia*, assembly and congregation that is in accordance with and in regards to, in relation to and with respect to your house and home, dwelling and abode; Favour and joy, delight and thanks, glory and charm, goodwill and sweetness, pleasure and the gift of merciful and loving kindness to you, and exemption from chaos; this being peace and tranquillity, harmony and concord, security and safety, prosperity and freedom, felicity and the assurance of salvation from God* our Father, and from our Sovereign Master*, Yahushua* the Anointed Messiah*.
Thanksgiving
4 - 7
I give and express thanks and show gratitude to my God*, always and at all times, on every occasion and in every instance making and executing, producing and performing, constructing and forming, keeping and establishing, accomplishing and bringing about remembrance, recollection and mention of you within my prayers and requests, petitions and pleas, hearing and listening to, comprehending and attending to, considering, understanding and perceiving your brotherly love and affection, good-will, esteem and benevolence, and your trust and reliance, obedience and confidence, certainty and guarantee, assurance and dependence which you have and hold, acquire and receive, own and possess adventurously towards Yahushua,* the Sovereign Master* and for and on behalf of all the individual and collective set-apart and cleansed ones, so that in this manner and way, the partnership and companionship, fellowship and friendship, communion, association and relationship of your trust and reliance, obedience and confidence, certainty and guarantee, assurance and dependence in the Supreme One may come to be and exist, appear and arise as effective, powerful and active, strong and energetically functioning in the precise and correct knowledge, perception and discernment, intellectual understanding and insight of every individual and collective good and pleasant, excellent and distinguished, useful and right, beneficial and fine, perfect and fitting, upright and worthy, admirable and satisfactory, dependable and pure, virtuous and honourable thing that is in, by and with us for and on behalf of Messiah*. For the reason that I had and held, acquired and received, owned and possessed great quantities and deep, excellent and large amounts of joy and gladness, delight and happiness, and exhortation and encouragement, admonition and consolation, comfort and solace upon your brotherly love and affection, good-will, esteem and benevolence, for concerning this, the seat of the kindness and benevolence, love and affection, compassion and tender-heartedness of the set-apart and cleansed ones have been refreshed, rested and relieved through the means of and on the grounds of, on account of and for the reason of, on the basis of and because of you, brother.
Paul’s Appeal For Onesimus
8 - 13
Therefore, for this reason and for this purpose, having and holding, acquiring and receiving, owning and possessing great and superior, excellent and deep courage and fearless confidence, boldness and assurance, open speaking, frankness and public outspokenness in, by and with Messiah* to charge and enjoin, command, order and instruct you what is proper and fitting, seemly and becoming, suitable and conspicuous, yet rather and instead, more willingly, readily and sooner to a far greater degree, I encourage and exhort, console and teach, instruct and urge, appeal to and comfort, implore and entreat, beseech and ask through the means of and on the grounds of, on account of and for the reason of, on the basis of and because of brotherly love and affection, good-will and benevolence, being and existing as such a one as, like and similar to I, Paul, an old man, but nevertheless, now, at this very moment in time a captive, prisoner and bound-one of Messiah* Yahushua*. I encourage and exhort, console and teach, instruct and urge, appeal to and comfort, implore and entreat, beseech and ask you about and concerning, regarding and on account of, because of and with respect to my child, Onesimus*, he whom I came to be the father of in, by and with my chains, bands and bonds. Once and formerly in a previous time he was useless, worthless and unprofitable to you, but nevertheless, now, at this very moment in time he is useful and profitable, beneficial and valuable to me and to you. I have sent him back again to your authority. He is my seat of kindness and benevolence, love and affection, compassion and tender-heartedness, whom I was planning and intending, desiring and wanting, willing and wishing, choosing and preferring to hold fast to and firmly possess, own and keep secure, strongly adhere to and retain for my own advantage, so that and in order that on behalf of and for the sake of, concerning and about, on account of and in view of, with reference to and for you he might serve and minister to and supply and provide, distribute and deliver to me my needs in, by and with my chains, bands and bonds of the good news, glad tiding and message, proclamation and victorious declaration.
14 - 16
But nevertheless, without and separate from, independent of and apart from your judgement and advice, opinion and view, disposition and counsel, decision and resolution, I willed and desired, chose and wished, purposely intended and decided, resolved and preferred, decreed and endeavoured with active volition to do and perform, accomplish and execute, practise and bring about, undertake, keep and carry out, construct and establish nothing so that and in order that what you do that is good and pleasant, excellent and distinguished, useful and right, beneficial and fine, perfect and fitting, upright and worthy, admirable and satisfactory, dependable and pure, virtuous and honourable may not be or exist as, like and similar to being done according to and with regards to, in relation to and with respect to necessity and need, compulsion and force, obligation and pressure imposed by the circumstances, but nevertheless, notwithstanding and on the contrary, it would be according to and with regards to, in relation to and with respect to being done voluntarily and spontaneously, willingly and freely of your own free will. For perhaps, possibly and probably, it is through the means of and on the grounds of, on account of and for the reason of, on the basis of and because of this reason that he was separated, parted and away from you for a certain fixed amount of time, so that and in order that you might have and receive, accept and welcome him back forever, for the unbroken age, the perpetuity of time and eternity, no longer, no more and no further as, like and similar to a slave, servant and attendant, but nevertheless, notwithstanding and on the contrary, higher, beyond and more than a slave, servant and attendant - a beloved and esteemed, dearly loved and highly regarded brother and fellow brethren - especially and chiefly, above all and mostly, assuredly and particularly, exceptionally and certainly to me, but nevertheless, how much more and extensively to a higher and greater degree to you, both in the flesh and body and in, by and with Yahuweh*.
17 - 20
Then and therefore, accordingly, consequently and these things being so, if and whether you have and hold, acquire and receive, own and possess me as a partner and associate, comrade, companion and fellow participant, take and receive, accept and welcome, admit and draw him to yourself as and like he was me. Moreover, if and whether he has wronged and acted unjustly and wickedly to you, causing hurt, damage and harm, or he ought to and is under obligation to owe you anything; impute, reckon and charge these things to my account. I, Paul, have written and inscribed, recorded and composed this with my own hand: I MYSELF WILL PAY THE DAMAGES AND COMPENSATION, so that and in order that I may not need to say and teach, maintain and advise, direct and affirm, exhort and point out to you that concerning this, you also owe yourself to me in return. Yes and verily, truly and assuredly, brother and fellow believer, let me have help and joy, benefit, favour and receive profit and advantage from you in, by and with Yahuweh*! Refresh, rest and relieve my seat of kindness and benevolence, love and affection, compassion and tender-heartedness in, by and with Messiah*!
Final Greeting
21 - 25
Being persuaded and convinced to obey and listen to, comply with and have confidence and trust, reliance and dependence in your obedience and compliance, favourable hearing and willing submission, I have written to you, seeing and perceiving, observing and witnessing, knowing and experiencing, recognising and respecting, understanding, comprehending and appreciating that concerning this, you will also do and perform, accomplish and execute, practise and bring about, undertake, keep and carry out, construct and establish more that and beyond what I say and teach, maintain and advise, direct and affirm, exhort and point out to a far greater and superior degree. Moreover, at the exact same time, also prepare and arrange, provide and make a hospitable guest room, lodging and reception ready for me, for the reason that I hope and expect with confidence and trust that concerning this, through the means of and on the grounds of, on account of and for the reason of, on the basis of and because of your prayers and requests, petitions and pleas, I will be graciously and freely bestowed, favourably granted, restored and kindly given to you all. Epaphras*, my fellow prisoner and captive in Messiah* Yahushua*, Marcus*, Aristarchus*, Demas*, Lucus*, my companions, fellow workers and helpers greet and salute, embrace and welcome, pay respect to and wish you well. Favour and joy, delight and kindness, glory and charm, sweetness and pleasure, merciful and loving kindness be with you.
