Questioning Paul Review – Galatians Text

March 21st, 2011

I had put this off for so long, mainly because I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to do it. However, as things don’t look to be changing for the better, my hand has been forced to do so.

As a result, I have gone through the rendition of the text of Galatians in QP, and here is my review of it. Should be easily printable if people want to make notes on it etc., as they read through it.

And as always, any improvements or errors seen, feel free to let me know about them πŸ™‚

There shall also be a topic in TWTY forum, which will be open to guests as well πŸ™‚

Aaaaaaaaand….. done!

January 31st, 2011

About four years and two & a half months ago, I embarked on a mission: to do a fully Amplified English Translation of all the books contained in what I would come to know as “The Renewed Covenant” (rather than “New Testament”). Not knowing really how long it would take, I told someone “I’ll be finished by February”. Thankfully, I didn’t state what year, because then that really was a completely daft thing to say.

Anyway, I kept true to my words: I did finish “by February”… February 2011.

That’s right folks – I’ve finished! I’m done! I’ve finally completed the mission upon which I embarked with this, the publication of the translation of 2 Timotheos, both on the website, and in PDF form πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

A tiny, tiny word of warning: the translations in their entirety come to almost 815,000 words, so, please don’t think you’ll be able to read them all in one sitting, unless, of course, you can read at 565.972 words per minute, and can stay awake for 24 hours πŸ™‚

Now, I think I deserve a bit of a break, wouldn’t you agree?

Massive TWTY Update

January 5th, 2011

Since the release of the whole of the Book of Yahuchanon, I’ve been working hard over the holidays to complete what I’m releasing now: updates to every single translation here on TWTY. This includes translation mistakes that I’ve corrected, fixed grammatical errors, misquoted Tanakh quotes, and a whole bunch of other stuff too.

All translation webpages should have the updates on them already, and so should the PDF’s.

This does mean that other PDF’s that people have downloaded are now obsolete, but I’d also been working on a way to reduce the file size of all the PDF’s, so they should now all be available to download, and I’ve even included a package that let’s you download them all at once πŸ™‚

MattithYah/Matthew
Marcus/Mark
Yahuchanon/John
Lucus/Luke
Acts of the Apostles
Ya’qob/James

New Greek-English Interlinear’s!

June 23rd, 2010

Having been working hard on a few other projects these past few months, I thought it was time I put a certain one of them online: Greek-English Interlinear's!

Now, if you don't know what an Interlinear is, then let me explain them to you: An Interlinear is where the text of a certain book, or other documentation, is set on one line in the language it was originally written in, and then another language is placed below those words. So say I wanted to do an Interlinear version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet in English and Spanish, on the first line I would place the English text, and then below it I would place the Spanish translation of that English word.

So what I have done is taken the oldest known Greek manuscripts, put their core text in a file, and then placed their root Greek word, the core English translation of that Greek word, and a Strong's Lexicon Number to that Greek word under each of the original Greek words, in order for you to be able to more or less follow along the Greek sentences, and aid you in looking up the meaning of the root of the Greek word for your own personal study πŸ™‚

The plan is to have a Greek-English Interlinear for all the Books in the Renewed Covenant, but for the moment, I have only done three. Please find links to them below πŸ™‚

3 Yahuchanon/John

Update! New PDF & Announcement

November 25th, 2009

I have finally finished doing the notes for the translation of the Acts of the Apostles, to which I have uploaded in PDF format. The notes are not yet up on the webpage, but they should be done in the next few days.

I also have an announcement: The translation of 1 & 2 Timotheos and The Eye-witness Account of Yahuchanon are going to be on hiatus for the time being. There are certain other things that are currently more important than an Amplified English translation of these works, to which I need to be concentrating on more for the time being. If I have time, I may do some translation, but don’t expect any translation updates for a while.

I shall also be hoping to pump out a couple of Version 2’s and 3’s of translations that have already been done, so I shall let everyone know when they are done and uploaded.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable winter πŸ™‚

Update to PDF files + Extra

August 30th, 2009

Although I am still powering on through the translation of the Book of Acts, I have also taken some time to update the PDF files of all the previously done translations. They all should now completely follow the text on the Website, and I have also added Bookmarks to all the Tanakh/Old Testament quotes that are contained within them. They are found at the bottom of the Bookmarks pane when you view the PDF file in Adobe Reader/Acrobat. Download the ZIP file containing all of them here.

Not only this, but I have also added two more of the Greek Basis of the English translation found on The Way to Yahuweh: these are 3 Yahuchanon, and Paul’s letter to the Colossians. I hope to be adding more of these soon, so please check back periodically to find any other updates that should be happening in the next few weeks πŸ™‚

Status Update

July 20th, 2009

Hi all – just a very quick update to let you know how things are progressing at the moment. Still in the midst of translating Acts, but thankfully the summer is here, which means I’m going to be having a bit more time to be engaged in translating, so I hope to have the translation completed as soon as I can.

In the meantime, I’ve been correcting a few things in already done translations, and making sure that the PDF’s are up to date as well. Give the Full Translation Pack (now going to be known as “FTP”) a download to view the current files.

I was also recently asked to do a guest blog on a friends Posterous blog page. Pop over to this link to view what I had to say regarding English Translations of Yahuweh’s Scripture πŸ™‚

Quick Update!

June 4th, 2009

Just a quick post to note that I noticed several spelling/other errors in the Translation of Lucus/Luke, and so have corrected it and added the update to the webpage, as well as to the separate PDF file and the ZIP file containing the translation of each book currently done.

As always, if anyone notices any errors in the translation, be it misspelled words or something else that is missing, please, do let me know, so I can correct the error and post an update as quickly as possible πŸ™‚

Update! Translation Revision

April 20th, 2009

After finishing both the Lucus and 2 Thessalonians Translations, I have gone back and done a revision of my translation of Titus. It has now grown quite significantly, and I have also finally created a fully-functional PDF file to go with it πŸ™‚

As it happens, I shall be starting both the Textual Criticism and translation of the Book of Acts (a.k.a The Acts of the Apostles) immediately, and judging from how long the translation of Lucus took (the same author of Acts), this may be the final update for a while, as Acts is even longer than Lucus!

Saying that, there was something that seriously annoyed me when I was doing my revision of Titus, so I shall probably post a few blogs between now and when I finish translating Acts πŸ™‚

Please find the PDF file of Titus here, and the webpage here.

And as always, all the translations can be downloaded in Zip format from this link.

Update! New Translation

April 15th, 2009

Less than five days after I posted up a new translation, I have another new translation for all of you! This time it is the shortish book of 2 Thessalonians. Whilst it may only be four A4 pages long, the Delegate Paul leaves a wealth of information for us to read, ponder and acknowledge.

The PDF file can be found by clicking this link, and the webpage should be up on this link shortly πŸ™‚
